Dr. Kamal Matharu is dedicated to providing thorough eye care in a friendly, client-focused environment. She feels strongly about providing her patients with precise diagnoses—every time.
Dr. Matharu has experience in ocular disease management and has completed clinical externships in this area. She has strong working knowledge across diabetic eye care, macular degeneration, acute red eyes, anterior ocular surface disease, and chronic dry eye. She has hands-on experience working alongside ophthalmologists in co-managing pre- and post-surgery for cataracts, glaucoma, strabismus, and retinal diseases, as well as extensive knowledge in caring for patients pre- and post-LASIK surgery.
Dr. Matharu also has a strong interest in pediatric eye care and has completed a hospital externship in this area. Being a mother herself, she has the ability to develop great rapport with kids and develop a thorough vision care plan to treat any current or potential issues.
Having been brought up in Oakville, Dr. Kamal Matharu is excited at the opportunity to give back to her hometown. She obtained her Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and has over 10 years of experience working in a private practice.
